We always strive to keep you informed in advance of any changes coming to FiberLocator. Like many other SaaS providers, we will no longer be supporting Microsoft’s IE7 and IE8 as of January 2015. This coincides with Microsoft’s own timeline to discontinue support of these browsers. It’s possible that FiberLocator will still be accessible through IE7 and IE8 but some functionality may not work and we will no longer address bugs or issues that are only happening in IE7 and IE8.

Why we will no longer support IE7 and IE8:

  • We have determined there is a very small number of FiberLocator users that are accessing the tool through these older browsers. Discontinuing support will allow us to focus on the browsers that our customers are using and take advantage of emerging technologies which will enhance your experience.
  • IE7 and IE8 are not as secure or as fast as the newer browsers. FiberLocator is optimized for Chrome and Firefox and these are the browsers we recommend using for the best performance.
  • Microsoft themselves will no longer be supporting IE7 and IE8 as of January 2015.

What you need to do:
If you currently use Microsoft IE7 or IE8, upgrade to version 9 or 10. You can also use the most recent stable version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari versions 5.x and 6.x.

Have questions:
If you need help or have a question, please contact us and we will do everything we can to help make this transition as smooth as possible. We appreciate your business and ongoing support of FiberLocator. Call us at 888-275-2264 or email us at support@www.fiberlocator.com.
